It’s a decent CarPlay unit. It’s supposed to be a 10” screen but it’s just stretched out and not like a true 16:9 or even 4:3 size ratio. Also there’s just extra dead space on the screen when powered up for touchscreen buttons.Kind of a waste IMO.This unit also doesn’t incorporate or include an option for a backup camera. Being that it’s portable I guess that’s ok. Would have been nicer if it did have that option tho.It has a tiny speaker onboard but it also can utilize the Bluetooth functionality to send the sound to your stock factory system.Overall it’s decent but not the greatest.Wish I could give it 3.5 stars but I’ll round up to 4 because it doesn’t advertise the backup camera as an option so I really can’t knock it for that.As far as CarPlay functionality it does everything fine, with a tiny bit of lag.

This portable wireless CarPlay impressed me on so many levels. First it looks great, it’s a very slick design that’ll fit in nicely in any car or trucks you decide to install it into. It works with both CarPlay and android play and I’ve tested CarPlay, its very responsive and works as well or even better than most oem options I’ve tested recently ( I rent a lot of cars even newer models and having wireless CarPlay is actually a premium to those). Overall it does a lot of things greatly and I’m very pleased with this

This thing is great. What an awesome way to add CarPlay or android auto functionality to your vehicle. I was able to install and set this up within fifteen minutes in my Mini Cooper and that includes hiding the wires. It allowed full CarPlay functionality and is only hooked up via a 3.5mm and a cigarette lighter outlet. I haven’t tested the android auto functions but the CarPlay aspect is flawless and every bit as good as the CarPlay system in my Toyotas. GPS, messages, calling, podcasts and music, they all work just as they do in my Toyota’s native CarPlay system. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a similar type of system. It’s by far the best I’ve seen.

I chose this dash mount stereo for (2) reasons that made it seem genuinely unique in this space.* Wide Screen* Wireless Android AutoAside from these two items, this radio seemed much like all the other dash radios available. However, these two items appeared to differentiate this unit over all the others, so I had to get it and give it a test.My first impression was positive when unboxing this item. The screen is actually wide. It is however proportional and not too short, which was one of my worries after ordering. The size is actually very nice for a change and the feel when viewing and using is quite good. OK, powering on....I hooked up this unit to my desktop power supply because I didn't want to spent time putting it in my car to replace my other unit until I knew this one is better. Powering on was quite simple and once on, the installer is presented with a couple screens. First screen is a nice welcome screen showing a phone and either CarPlay or Android Auto (see picture - not clickable at this point). Shortly there after the installer is presented with a screen asking for a person to connect to the Bluetooth named:Car-Kit-BE8B. Out of the gate this was a problem for me because that name never appeared when I turned on my phone and searched for this particular Bluetooth signal. Literally, there isn't much else to do at this point so I powered off the unit and turned it back on. (center top button) For some reason, this seemed to work and I was able to connect via Bluetooth this time because it showed up on my phone as an available option. I have no idea why, but this seemed to work. My phone prompted me to connect and startup Android Auto. This came up nicely and I must say, I was surprised how seamlessly this worked. Android auto via wireless .... SWEET !!!. Shortly after, I was presented with a screen for selecting Radio transmit 'ON' and frequency desired for broadcast, screen brightness adjustment, volume adjustment and CarPlay or Android Auto (see image). I initially tested the FM broadcast and (possibly because of my tabletop setup) it didn't work very well. I decided to try the built in speaker. It did work but I was unable to adjust the volume at this point because Android Auto was working and my phone's volume adjustment wouldn't change the volume on the unit. A quick check of the unit produced no volume control knobs or buttons so I frantically Forced Stopped Android Auto in hopes it would bring me back to some menu option. At this point I realized I could adjust the volume down a bit via the main menu screen. This could be an Android Auto operator error at this point.... I'm not sure. I then looked at the unit closely and chose to hard wire the single 3.5mm female jack on the unit to my amplifier. This proved quite nice. I could then adjust the volume on the output to a normal level. I've powered off the unit several times and then powered back up. Each time, my phone eventually connects and Android Auto displays as operational on the screen. This is the first unit I've seen with a working Wireless Android Auto. Kudos to the Mrg. on delivering on this promise. My pros and cons follow:Pro:1) Small footprint vertically (but not too small), Nice size horizontally (room to display content)2) Simple install (2 connections on unit (Power in jack and 3.5mm output jack)3) One power button on top (appears to dim the screen if pressed quickly)4) Did I mention 'WIRELESS ANDROID AUTO' < Best feature5) Auto connect with phone on power up.6) Good sound (when connected via the audio output jack)Cons:1) Slightly questionable FM transmitter (could be operator error again)2) No physical volume control outside of software (couldn't find access when Android Auto on)3) Speaker is OK, not stellar and car audio quality is a bit tinny (may be inevitable in such a small unit)4) I used my 'cheater glasses' and still struggled to read the meager instructionsI'm giving this Wireless Android Auto radio four stars because of the few issues I had with the unit. The size and wireless connectivity almost outweigh the minor issues and yet I can't give 5 starts if issues exist.

This thing is AMAZING! I can’t say enough good things about it, and I’m in love. I have an older truck (2016, so not too old) that was just before they started adding in nice displays and Car Play. For other reasons I haven’t wanted to remove the factory stereo but have missed having Car Play and a big GPS screen for long trips. This is a huge display, and I love how wide it is for navigation (no picture of that, just for location sharing reasons) but the turn by turn takes up the majority of the screen.Connecting to the device was very easy. Upon powering on clicking on “Car Play” gave on screen instructions, basically just open Bluetooth, select the device, and say to use wireless Car Play. That’s it, it then automatically updates the date/time based on the connected device and everything just works. No settings to configure, no confusing prompts, just 100% functionality. If you want to use your car speakers you turn to the FM Transmitter option and then set the station you want to broadcast with. Then set your car radio to the same station and the audio comes through your car instead of the device. This does provide better audio clarity, though the device has decent volume for its size. The only thing I wish was different is the time on the device itself. This is set to a 24 hour clock, aka military time, and I cannot find any option to change that. I’ve been through all the settings (clock even pictured) and there is no option otherwise. It’s not a huge issue, especially since it normally has the devices time as well as the Car Play time on the screen at the same time, and the Car Play option is in the preferred format. One other thing to note, this only has an adapter for 12v, not USB. It has a USB C connection on the device but the cord included only connects to 12v. I powered this with USB-C to a high power device and it worked fine, but with a lower powered connection, like the built in USB in the car, it doesn’t provide enough power. That is not an issue as I don’t use my 12v for anything else, but if you do keep this in mind.Overall I can’t stress enough how much I really do like this device. It has added a great visual screen to my older vehicle and made it feel like a HUGE upgrade. Having the option to take it out and move it if I want to is another big plus, while keeping my vehicle with OEM equipment. If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would, and I’ve never said this about other products before.

I've gotten a few Carplay stand-alone units and this one so far is my favorite. It really covers the basics well. The wide screen means that even though I placed it on top of the dash and the screen is large, it doesn't block enough of the view to be a problem. My only complaint is that the portion on the left of the screen never goes away. Other Carplay units I've used give the whole screen to Carplay. This does have an app to get you back to the main screen if you need it. I find it a little redundant and annoying to see the time side by side especially since one is in 24-hour time and Carplay uses your iPhone settings. If it wasn't for this annoyance I would have certainly given it 5 stars.Overall happy with the 'Portable Wireless Apple Carplay Car Stereo GPS Navigation, 10 Inch Touch Car Play Screen Audio Car Radio Receiver with Android Auto, Bluetooth, Siri/Google Assistant, Multimedia Player'.

Do you like Android Auto and/or Apple Carplay? Then you'll like this. Most everything this does is entirely dependent upon those two pieces of software.Hardware wise, the screen kind of looks like a taller rearview mirror. It is crisp and clear. It runs Android Auto perfectly smoothly. One thing that's a little odd is the piece of tape that was covering some sort of A/V in port. I wonder if there's some way to use that or if it's just a hole with a label?

I am very impressed with this. It's AUX in, so not splicing wires. The display is fantastic! This is incredibly user friendly. My 17-year-old installed in less than 5 minutes.Found phone and was in sync instantly.Functionality is great, has everything you need!Screen is very responsive.Came with a pry tool in the event you don't want to use the regular mount. This went into a Mercedes C300, I now want to order one for my 2000 Tundra :)

The unit is nice and it's plenty big. I installed it on my 2005 Scion xB. I noticed that the sound setting is not the same when listening to radio and bluetooth audio. Bluetooth audio seems to have less bass than radio. Also, the wires that it came with was very thin. Once you step the insulation, it's like a few strands of hair for wiring. I had to strip more so that I can fold the wire to make it thicker. Backup camera seems nice so far but it cuts the music off when activated and I don't know why. I've only had this unit since yesterday so I haven't really found any other things wrong. But it seems to be a good unit so far. Will have to see next week when I commute to work if everything is good.
