Overall, I thought this was a pretty good trail cam, though it has to be said I am a new user of these kind of devices. For that reason, it??s hard for me to know if this is good value or not. The reason for removing a star is that I did find the interior of the camera looked pretty cheap and old fashioned. Like, it??s functional, but not fancy. Maybe this is on the cheaper side for this kind of device though, as I say, I don??t have a reference here.I also wish the SD card had been included, actually I??d have preferred it be MicroSD as SD just feels old fashioned to me. Adding onto the old-fashioned feel is that it takes batteries rather than charging. Of course, you can always use rechargeable batteries if you desire, so there??s options. It??s not too hard to learn how to use, but it could be simpler and could also be explained more clearly. It??s not a super beginner-friendly product, but if you??ve used this kind of thing before or are mid-tech savvy level, you should be just fine. It??s a handy thing for keeping an eye on critters, whether for pleasure, hunting or checking to see if there??s a problem (example mouse or gophers). The resolution and clarity is good enough to see, it goes off when it??s supposed to and there??s enough settings that most people will be happy with it, I think. In terms of the exterior shell, it??s nice and sturdy (though again not particularly expensive looking, but that??s a plus as maybe it won??t get stolen!) and the ability to lock is a really nice one, though you must provide the padlock yourself. It keeps out snow and rain and works well, but isn??t as high tech as I expected.

We currently have the camera out in the woods to see how it works and how the picture quality is. It does take quite a few batteries, 8 i believe it was. The door when opening and closing it seems to hit a bit but it still seems to seal up ok. It doesnt feel like the best quality but for the price its is alread. Once we get the camera out of the woods I will update my review. It does have a viewing screen to see the pictures. And requires a sd card which wasnt included.

This camera is super easy to set up. It captures movement around. Night vision is pretty good.Comes with a tree mount - handy! The lens has roughly 120 degree view.No SD card included, you have to get your own.Waterproof and dustproof, I am curious how will it handle cold temperatures.

MegaPixels are cool and all however, aperature is more important. F2.4 is decent for night photography but 1.8, 1.4 or even 1.2 f-stop is ideal. This gives a brighter image in the dark however the depth of field of details will be less covered. 2.4 is good enough so it captures a 'clearer' image or bigger depth of field despite how far the animal is from the lens. The menu settings is quite awkward to navigate to however you'll get used to it eventually. Great that they have a simply instructions manual and a separate more in depth one with tech specs. Class 10 SD card is NEEDED for this device as it records 1080P videos. Anything less will give card error. When fresh batteries are put in, after 3 minutes the device states it's at like 2/3rds of the juice which is odd. This thing eats battery? At the bottom of the device, there's a port labelled 12V 1A but it does not come with an adapter. Possible for home 'security' use.Build quality seems decent, super hard plastic which decent camouflage and super dark brown body. Hardware seems like it would rust overtime. At this price point, its quite competitive on the market. If you don't need video, find something cheaper. This device either works as photos or videos, not simultaneously.

Included in the box is the trail camera, a very long 2 meter fabric strap to tie the camera to trees/fence posts, a tripod mount, USB cable. You will need to provide 8xAA batteries and a SD card 64 GB Class 10 yourself. The camera looks durable and well built out of the box. The side locks that hold the camera closed gives a good seal around the camera providing a IP66 waterproof design. The camera was very easy to install in our garden using the provided fabric strap mounted the camera securely around one of our trees. Unfortunately we had a little trouble setting up the camera as the instructions are confusing and badly worded. I was unable to view images on the cameras internal screen so had to keep removing the SD card and using it on a PC to view any images. We have yet to capture any images of wildlife due to the winter weather, however I have managed to capture several images of myself visiting our bins. It appears that this camera is not only for capturing wildlife but can also be used as a security camera. The camouflage design makes it hard to spot so it's perfect for this purpose. The daytime images are HD perfect quality. The nighttime images are of poorer quality due to the grainy appearance however the focus is still sharp.

I was so excited to get this as I have been getting a nightly visit from a hedgehog and I wanted to capture it on camera. Sadly no hedgehog (a bit late in the season now tbh) but I did capture one of my cats in the act of carrying a rat!I used an old (ish) 8GB SD card that I no longer use by SanDisk (Ultra II SDHC). I also used Toguard camera Basic rechargeable batteries with high amp given the length of time this would be in use even with auto turn off.I selected the mode that captures both photo and video. It was easy to set up and the menu is pretty clear & intuitive. In the morning I noted there was condensation inside (on the screen and the batteries were very cold to the touch) but then it's the first week of November and temperatures got as low as 7??C overnight. The battery power was in the red despite being high amp and with auto turn off after 3 minutes. So it's a very power-hungry device. Depending on the frequency of use you'll be going through an awful lot of batteries.Overall though I was very impressed with the easy setup and the results. Highly recommend.

The picture quality is insane. You can actually print these pictures out and they have so much detail.
